Hey Dawnie and my beautiful daughters,
We got a lot done today. Marcia posted some pictures of the construction, you can click on “pictures” right from this page.
Way to go Melinda on memorizing that verse! Maybe you can make Grandpa a pilot for his plane with the clay you received as a reward.
There is a team from Rockford her now, they will be doing there final devotional tonight so if you feel led you can pray for them. I think we might be joining them but I’m not sure.
I love you all very much! XOXOXO.

    Hi Shannon,
Glad you made it safe and ready to work. I have a little job for you or your dad when you get back:) The family that Mary and I went to visit came to church Sunday. They are looking for a set of bunk beds. I wondered if you would like to build one. I didn’t commit you yet–LOL! I’m praying for you that God’s will be done through you guys.

Shannon, I hope that you remember who I am (Scott Wesseldyke) but I saw your name and I thought that I would say hello and assure you that I will be holding you and your team up with prayers. It was great being together with you in La Bendición and I hope that your team works very well together.

Hey Shannon! All is well on the western front. We got snow all day yesterday and I kept praying that it would stop….seeing that you never taught me how to use the snowblower:( Not that I want to learn.:) Lizzy’s game was a heartbreaker. They lost 36-31. They trailed by 10-14 pts. most of the time. We were flat and just could not make a basket. Big Bummer. With 4 minutes left….our team showed up and we just ran out of time. Lizzy played decent. She had 4 or6 pts. I am not sure which. She had probably 6 baskets that were halfway in the hoop and somehow popped out. That’s the way it goes!!! Today is a new day!
We are doing well at home. I am managing to keepthe fire going if you can believe that. Tonight will be nice because we only have practices to juggle. Jac tried High jump and her back muscles are very sore. She said that it went good though.
We will continue to pray. Are you getting outside the home base at all? I love you Shannon Overbeek and can’t wait until you get home. Enjoy your time away! Dawn

    Scott,
Thanks for the encouragement. The construction is going well, these apartments really change the look inside of the base. Oh, by the way, OF COURSE I REMEMBER YOU!!!!!!!!

    Dawnie and girls,
Another big day of work, we are making good progress. Tomorrow a bunch of people who have been visiting orphanages are going home along with Heidi and their kids so it will be just the construction crew and Dan Smith left. Elizabeth and Veronica, remember the oldest daughter (Paulina) from the house we built at LaBendicion, she is working for Paradise Bound at the mission base!
Let me know how the basketball game goes tomorrow. Thanks for praying, I am praying for you all too.
    Love,
    Dad

Hey Babe! The girls wanted you to tell Paulina that they said Hi! They were excited to hear that she was working for Paradise. So you guys should get some serious work done this later part of the week…..
Tell Ron that all of us said hi. The girls also wanted you to tell him not to put the nails in his mouth…lol. Looking forward to seeing you. I will post how the game goes later tonight. Melinda wants to know what time you have to get up and what time you have to go to bed. :) Dawn

    Hello girls,
I’m glad to hear all is going well at home. In answer to Melinda’s question we get up around 6:30, start working around 7:15, quit tonite at 7 and we will probably go to bed about 10:00. The one apartment we are working on (the one that Erin V.O. will stay in) looks really bad, hopefully the walls stay standing and I know for sure all of the plumbing runs backwards but I’m sure she will be happy!
Well good nite, I love you. See you tomorrow. Good nite, I love you. See you tomorrow

    Hi Shannon!
I was in Guatemala last week doing some welding! Hope that your week is going well. I talked with Brian K. this morning on the phone. He is planning on coming there next week and is bringing 5 more 2lb spools of solid mig wire. Don’t know if you need more but just thought I would let you know what is on the way. Praying that your group has a good week ! Blessings to you! Glory to God!

Hey Babe! Lizzy’s team beat Zeeland East tonight! 49-33. Had 20 pt. lead mid third quarter so the whole team got to play. Lizzy had about 10-12 pts. Snapped two sweet jumpers just inside the three pt. line. She played really well. Sat most of the 4th quarter. Glad to hear that you are getting lots done….hopefully most people that read this know your humor regarding the status of the apt. I know you and your dad would never let anything not be “plumb”. (I think that is the correct work?!?) Love you and enjoy yourself. Dawn

    Tom,
Your welding work looked great. That walkway around the perimeter is going to be real nice. We have all the framing, rough plumbing, rough electrical, drywall is hung and will be close to being completely mudded before we leave. We have been doing a little more welding but I have no idea how much wire they used. Thanks for praying. HE is FAITHFUL.

Very funny, Shannon! You’re almost as bad as Dan…he insists on painting the apartment PINK even though it is my least favorite color! :)

I hope your week was incredible and that you have a safe trip home today! You’re in my prayers as you travel.

Hope to see you and hear all of the stories of your great experiences sometime soon!
